Project Description – The architectural design of Vipin’s residence, nestled in the outskirts of Kottayam, ingeniously navigates through challenging topography and the proximity of nearby canals. Despite these obstacles, the design successfully adheres to all pertinent rules and regulations governing construction in the area. The process of conceptualizing and executing the design was indeed intricate, as it required meticulous attention to detail in order to fulfill the client’s requirements while overcoming the inherent challenges of the site.

To address these challenges, the incorporation of a metal jali (lattice screen) serves multiple purposes within the design. Not only does it provide a visually striking architectural feature, but it also offers practical benefits such as privacy, security, and natural ventilation. Additionally, the inclusion of an internal courtyard further enhances the design by introducing elements of light, air, and greenery into the living spaces.

By skillfully integrating these architectural elements, the design of Vipin’s residence not only meets the functional needs of the occupants but also creates a harmonious relationship between the built environment and its natural surroundings.
