Set in the rural area of Kanyakumari, with windmills around the site, this house by Stria Architects combines a modern design with sloping roofs. It was built for two brothers working abroad as a long term home in their native place. Laterite stone is used to connect the house to the local surroundings, while Moroccan pattern flooring adds warmth inside. Large windows, jaali screens, and open height spaces allow plenty of daylight and fresh air to move through the house, making good use of the coastal breeze.
