Project Description – The concept of this project was completely open and green theme based. Its orientation aids in ample natural ventilation in all the spaces and there is effective shading in the large central courtyard and other semi private areas. The structure was designed as a contemporary and inviting space that enable it to be perceived as an artistic expression, while making ample room which exhibit within its core and amalgamating art with architecture. The structure celebrates its shape and character of the material by retaining and representing it in its purest form. The central courtyard buffers as well as connects the two wings of the residence that separates the public from the private zone. The vision was to build a contemporary sustainable property with a series of rooms, fashioning each room to have its own view of the surroundings. Even though the project is evolved keeping view of the surrounding environment, the design approach is farfetched from the normal tropical look out in designs. It was designed to be an innovative work of art to showcase creativity through various domain of art. All the bathrooms were designed with grandeur and style. Wood, large openings and elaborate landscaping lend a unique identity and character of the residence. The concept of the design proposal has been carefully crafted to restore the basic values and identity with an aim of achieving environmental harmony and ecological balance. Conveniently located, yet far away from the hustle of the crowd, it has bountiful treasure of tropical flora and fauna that makes it a pleasant heaven on earth for those who adore nature. The house is well lit and also experiences the nature inside. The design was intended to maximize ventilation and accommodate open spaces. The approach was to blend the residence into the landscape, taking design cues from contemporary architecture and inspiration in nature. The master plan consisted of several structure placed at different levels.
